JGC Corporation wants to build LNG plant on Russia’s Sakhalin
YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, Aug 1 (PRIME) -- Japan’s JGC Corporation is considering building a small liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on Russia’s Sakhalin Island, Sakhalin Region’s Governor Oleg Kozhemyako’s office said in a statement on Monday.
“Corporation’s Head Masanori Suzuki plans to visit the Aniva gas fields to look for sites where the plant can be built with minimal construction costs and the best from the point of logistic issues,” it said.
Kozhemyako said, “We plan to build a small LNG plant on the basis of the Aniva gas fields. I know that management of your company is interested in it and we are ready to provide all necessary support to you.”
JGC Corporation is an international engineering company headquartered in Yokohama, which operates in oil and gas production, logistics, energy production and medicine.
